My family eats a lot of hamburgers, it’s an easy meal when we’re camping that everyone likes. I’m a fan of burgers at home too because it’s one of the only times my dad or brother cook, all hail the grill masters! And any meal I don’t have to cook myself is a good meal in my books. After working in the food industry as long as I did it’s fun to mix it up sometimes and try something different, don’t get me wrong, I love a classic hamburger, but here are two Brittany approved recipes to get you out of your traditional hamburger slump.
The Classic-ish Burger
The Classic-ish Burger
- White burger bun
- French’s mustard
- Ketchup
- Sweet pickles
- Cracker Barrel marble cheese slices
- Slice of tomato
- Spinach or romaine lettuce
- PC Chipotle Mayo Sandwich Spread
I love all things chipotle so adding it to my burgers gives it a little extra kick and reminders me of my A&W order which always includes chipotle sauce. Did you know you can ask them to add it to any burger at no charge? Since this burger is only a slight twist on a classic it still pairs well with burgers and fries or a homemade macaroni salad and is great for those that want a little change but aren't adventurous eaters. We have a few of those in my family.
Hawaiian Chicken Burger
Hawaiian Chicken Burger
This is the burger for you if you’re really looking to shake this up! Each bite is flavourful and packs a punch that will have you coming back for more, but we warned they’re very filling!
- PC Whole Wheat Thin Burger Buns
- PC Traditional Tzatziki Yogurt Dip
- Pineapple (fresh or grilled if you don’t want your burger to be too juicy)
- M&M Gourmet Chicken Burgers
- Cracker Barrel marble cheese slices
- Slice of tomato
- Spinach or romaine lettuce
- PC Chipotle Mayo Sandwich Spread
Want to take it up another notch? Add a few pieces of crispy bacon for a little extra crunch. This burger would pair well with a side salad, or fruit salad for even more of a tropical feel. It’s definitely going to be my go-to this summer!
Which one would you try?
