This Prompt Builds Connection and Authority
This week’s ChatGPT prompt is one of my faves for telling a story that connects with your audience and positions you as the expert they’ve been looking for.
The content hook we'll be giving ChatGPT is:“If you’ve ever been told ______ but knew deep down that _____ was your thing. Same. Here’s my story.”
It’s giving:✔️ Relatable✔️ Personal✔️ Trust-building✔️ “They really get me” energy
And when used well, it naturally leads into your offers, your approach, or even your WHY behind the work you do.
Now here's the actual prompt for ChatGPT 👇🏻
"Can you give me 5 content ideas using the hook: 'If you’ve ever been told ______ but knew deep down that _____ was your thing. Same. Here’s my story."
Follow it up with:
"Can you also write an Instagram caption or short-form video script based on each one?"
The thing I love about prompts like these? They're great for Instagram posts but can also be used in other ways, check it out!
How to Use This Prompt Strategically:
💬 Community Building Post→ Share a vulnerable or relatable moment that shows your audience you’ve been where they are — and they’re not alone.
💰 Sales Post→ Use this prompt to share how you got into your line of work (and why you’re really good at it). Then invite your audience to work with you or try your product.
📌 Content for Your Website or Highlights→ Posts like this are perfect for your “About” story or your “Start Here” Instagram highlight — they humanize you and explain your journey in a way that builds trust.
💌 Email or Podcast Content→ Expand on your story and how it relates to the transformation you help your clients or customers achieve.
