Week-Long Events

  • April 1-7: Laugh at Work Week -What do you do to infuse laugher into your work week? Share a behind-the-scenes reel of these activities or kick it high-school yearbook style and nominate (in a post) an employee as "class clown".

Ideas for (Almost) Everyday

  • April 1:

    • Easter Monday - In your stories, share if your business will be open over the holiday weekend.

    • April Fools -Be anti-April Fools, and create a myth vs. facts post about something in your niche that people always get wrong, for example, a travel agent could share that myth that the people booking a vacation pay her when the fact is the company the trip is booked through does.

    • International Fun at Work Day - Create a behind the scenes reel of your "having fun at work", aka. doing the project you enjoy the most. It's a great opportunity to feature the product or service creation process and share about why it's your favourite/what the impact is for your clients which is why you love it so much.

    • Handmade Day - Call all crafty business owners! This is your guilt free excuse to share about your products, think product feature, or a reel showing how you make it.

  • April 2:

    • International Children's Book Day - This one is perfect for children's authors to promote your book (if published already), or share about one you're working on and get your audience excited for you to release it.

    • Education & Sharing Day - Teach your audience something new in a reel or carousel post. Maybe it's an Instagram hack they won't want to miss or a tip to make calming your upset toddler easier. Make sure you include a CTA in the caption inviting people to save or share this post with others who need it.

  • April 3: World Party Day - We like to party, but we don't always like to plan it. Can you create a carousel post sharing 2 party planning tips that will help people stay on budget or create a memorable party? Don't forget to include a sentence in your caption letting people know you're available for hire as a party planner if they don't want to do it themselves!

  • April 4: Tell A Lie Day - Connecting with your audience is very important to build know, like and trust (the precursor to sales), play two truths and a lie and share some personal information with your audience.

  • April 7:

    • World Health Day - Put a fun spin on this and share what one thing business owners need to have a healthy business (relate it to the services you offer and invite people to book with you), ex. accountants would promote organized financial records to make informed decisions and would invite people to connect for a discovery call to talk about their bookkeeping packages.

    • No Housework Day - I'm include this one mainly because I want to partake in a no housework day 🤣. Could you partner with a cleaning company or home organization company and do a giveaway to grow your following (or email list) by offering up 1-hour of a cleaning/organization service?

    • Walk to Work Day - Create a reel you walking to work. This would be funny even if you work from home and you can show how short your walk is and talk about the benefits of working from home. Having someone video you from behind like the picture below makes great b-roll for content creation

    • Unicorn Day - Share who your "unicorn" is by creating a post calling out your ideal clients and inviting them to work with you
