Spring is coming and like our house, it's the perfect time of year to clean out the clutter in your content plan and refresh it with new exciting ideas that will invigorate your businesses social media presence and engagement. Check out the content ideas for March below.

Ideas for anytime in March

  • Women's History Month - what is the history of your business? It's a great opportunity to share why you got started and how you can help others

  • National Nutrition Month (US) - why is nutrition at the core of your business? Share your personal nutrition story and do a reels series about nutrition tips for _

  • International Ideas Month - it's a great time to seek input from your audience and ask them what ideas or struggles they have, then take that information and create a free resource or paid offer that will help them solve this problem.

  • Craft Month - Are you a business with handmade products? Share a few posts about your top sellers, a how-to on creating one of your products, and a post about how people can buy your products.



Week-Long Events

  • March 1-7: Universal Human Bring Week - join the celebration of art, culture and community of humanity to improve human rights and understanding. Take this opportunity to share about the humans behind your business (yourself or your staff) or the impact your business has on other humans/clients. Share case studies or examples of the results/transformations you've gotten your customers or clients and be sure to include testimonials!

  • March 4-10: Procrastination Week - We all procrastinate share your favourite tips or tools to bust through procrastination and move the needle in your business, or how you stay organized and motivated to avoid procrastination. Think social media posts but also emails and blog posts as a way to add value to your audience.

  • March 10-16: Sleep Awareness Week - I don't know about you but I don't function without sleep! I love learning tips and tricks (or products) to get more sleep (or better quality sleep). What does your schedule look like as a business owner, how do you balance it all so you still get a good nights sleep at night? There's so much you could dive into here.

  • March 11-15: March Break - The kids are home, use this an opportunity to share some behind-the-scenes content or stories about balancing kids and work, day in the life content, and ideas to entertain your kids to get some work done. Or share about how you've set your business up for success so you can take the whole week off! What tools or resources can you share with your audience so they can get to the place where you are with a business that can run without you at the helm 24/7.

  • March 18-24: National Introverts Week (US) - This week celebrates all the introverts who are out there thriving in an extrovert's world. Shout out business friends who are on fire, or share your tips to run your business as an introvert like Kara did in her podcast episode "I'm Kind of An Awkward Person THIS is How I Market My Business Anyway" (I really liked this episode).

  • March 20-23: Harry Potter Week - Share your Hogwarts house pride or products.

    • 🦁 Gryffindor Pride Day - March 22

    • 🦅 Ravenclaw Pride Day - March 23



Ideas for (Almost) Everyday

  • March 1:

    • World Compliment Day - We all love compliments, don't forget to share the love with your followers and email list, it's a great opportunity to thank them for supporting you with a personal message or a special offer/discount code for them.

    • National Wedding Planning Day - wedding planners rejoice! This is your guilt free day to share about your work! Content about your wedding planning process, results you've gotten clients (or pictures of their weddings) and testimonials are all a great thing to share

    • National Day of Unplugging - two takes on this 1) don't post today and actually unplug yourself OR 2) share your unplugging strategy for social media, how do you take a break from the gram and set boundaries for your work and personal life

    • Employee Appreciation Day - I think you get the idea with this one

  • March 3: World Wildlife Day - If you have a product or service that helps protect wildlife share what the benefit is for wildlife by using your product

  • March 4: Fun Facts About Names Day - Share the story behind your business name and how it contributes to your mission and vision for your business

  • March 7:

    • Be Heard Day - use your stories today to shout out your favourite small or local businesses and why you love them. Don't forget to tag them too! Or use the Collaboration feature on Instagram and do a joint post with another business to grow both of your audiences.

    • World Book Day - Share your favourite recent read and use the Add Yours sticker on IG to get your followers involved OR if you're an author plug your book with a link to purchase it in your stories!

  • March 8: International Women's Day - If you're a female business owner share your story, struggles and triumphs the got you to where you are today! OR shout out local women owned businesses in your community

  • March 9: National Get Over It Day - Share about one thing you had to get over for your business to be successful, was it your fear of networking? Or not knowing how to use social media? What challenge did you face and what tips can you share with your followers that may be experiencing the same thing.

  • March 10: UK Mother's Day - What products or services do you offer that mom's would love, share those and remind people how they can purchase them.

  • March 14 - International Ask A Question Day - Go live in your stories today and ask your followers how you can help or what questions they have for you, use Instagram Question Box sticker

  • March 17: St. Patrick's Day - unpopular opinion, stop posting "Happy St. Patrick's Day" or holiday posts, it doesn't add value for your audience. Share it to your stories instead unless you post is about the products or services you have related to St. Patrick's day, then you can make a sales post.

  • March 19: International Client's Day - share the love with your clients or customers and offer a special discount just for the day OR feature a client success story and testimonial in a post today with instructions on how you can help someone right now that wants the same outcome.

  • March 20:

    • First Day of Spring - what does your audience need to know or remember about spring? Is it time to organize their pantry? Then share your top two pantry organization hacks, get creative and remind your audience how you can help them solve _ problem related to spring.

    • National Proposal Day - wedding businesses can go crazy on this day, share your favourite 3 proposal ideas or 5 ways to make your proposal unique

  • March 23: World Maths Day - create a sales post talk about how much money your customers or clients will save/miss out on by not buying or signing up to work with you today.
